Land Analyst

Company Description

Over the past 30 years Providence has acquired and managed upstream oil and gas properties across the United States. Currently, Providence owns and/or manages interests in nearly 2 million gross acres of minerals, with interests in over 10,000 producing wells.

Role Description

Providence Energy is looking for a full-time Land Analyst with experience in minerals management. This candidate must have superior analytical & problem-solving skills and must be an expert in lease, contract & title analysis. The Land Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Manage incoming mineral acquisitions by analyzing title, leases & contracts and inputting the data into MineralSoft.
  • Review incoming acquisition documents and prepare them for recording as needed.
  • Notify operators of change in ownership and follow up on pay status as needed.
  • Work with Division Order Analyst and Accounting on tracking payment status.
  • Confirm mineral ownership, net royalty acres, and set up acquisitions, deeds & tracts accordingly.
  • Analyze all incoming leases and determine which tracts they are associated with and set up leases accordingly. Must be able to identify depth restrictions, provisions and overlapping acreage.
  • Allocate tracts to the acquired wells and tie units to the appropriate tracts.
  • Ongoing maintenance of land records to ensure ownership, acreage and tract status is up to date.
  • Generate reports by from MineralSoft as needed.
  • Coordinate with GIS to ensure all tracts have been mapped appropriately.
  • Review & track incoming lease proposals and distribute them to the appropriate Landman for handling.
  • Oversee and track all leases granted to ensure timely receipt of lease bonus payments.
  • Monitor monthly obligations to determine if any Operators/Lessees are not in compliance and take action as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Land Analyst in minerals management.
  • Experience working in Enverus, MineralSoft and/or similar minerals management software.
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and self-prioritize projects.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

Land Analyst/Division Order Analyst

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Land Analyst/Division Order Analyst located in Dallas, TX. The Land Analyst/Division Order Analyst will be responsible for:
  • Analyze title/lease information
  • Assist with title issues and accounting questions related to division orders, asset divestitures, leasing and acquisitions
  • Calculate working and net revenue interests
  • Create and maintain land/lease records
  • Review, monitor and assist with accounting, well payment status
  • Effectively and cooperatively interface with other departments within the company
  • Analyst responsibilities include researching, identifying, and analyzing land data within the company land systems and delivering the data to the company in an accurate, streamlined, and consumable format
  • Knowledgeable of land specific data, including tracts, depths, ownership and terms of oil and gas leases and/or assignments and input data into land database

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience working in Land Administration as a Land Tech, Lease Analyst or Division Order Analyst
  • Experienced with a land management software system, preferably BOLO and MineralSoft or similar
  • Established proficiency with Microsoft Office required, with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be goal oriented, approaching projects with a sense of urgency and drive.
  • Exhibit a high aptitude in analytical thinking
  • Must be a team player who possesses the ability to adapt to new technologies, workflows and processes
